Welcome to Pawstruck Gifts
We understand the love your have for your pet. We are pet lovers ourselves! But unfortunately, that means we have lost pets as well. That's how we started Paws Truck Gifts. My name Catherine and my husband Paul and I wanted a better way to memorialize our orange tabby cat, Apollo, who passed away suddenly. We had pictures but we wanted something better. That's when Paul decided to paint an image of Apollo on a mug. While a mug may not seem like a very serious way to memorialize our cat, it had meaning for us. Every morning Apollo would sit with Paul while he drank his morning coffee and asked to pet. It was a morning ritual that ended suddenly. But now, Apollo would always be remembered during the time he loved most: [caption id="attachment_372" align="aligncenter" width="300"]cat mug apollo The mug that started it all.[/caption] We thought others would want a specific and meaningful gift that represents their pet. These days, we primarily focus on portraits and Paul's artistic renditions of photographs. With a painting, you can adjust the setting in a way that makes sense for you and your pet!

Who Should Buy A Portrait or Other Gift?

While we didn't get a memorial for Apollo until after he passed there is no reason you can't get a memorial while your pet is still around! Here are some other reasons you may want to buy a pet portrait:
  • It can be a wonderful gift for your loved ones. Whether it's for Father's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas or any occasion and custom pet portrait makes a great gift!
  • It can be a great combination birthday gift for pets and people! Pets have birthdays too and what better gift!
  • We donate 25% of our profit to charities working for homeless animals. We really like working with local veterinary clinics that provide spay/neuter and other surgical services to local rescues. Some of our favorites are Parkside Animal Health in Aurora (they work with the Denver Daschund Rescue) and Arapahoe Animal Hospital in Boulder (they work with various feline rescues in the area).
  • You will get exactly what you want. We make sure you are 100% satisfied with our work. If you aren't, we will replace or redo the work at no charge until you are happy.
  • You can be as creative or as uncreative as you want!

About
About
At Paws Truck Gifts we want to offer everyone the opportunity to memorialize their pet in a meaningful, fun and simple way. Find out more about how we got started on our homepage. As for our name...we admit it isn't the catchiest. My name is Catherine and my maiden name is Pawziwitz. I also played outfield for women's softball throughout high school and college. So you guessed it, my nickname was Paws. My husband Paul was also an athlete. But his nickname was simply truck. He definitely didn't play softball with a name like truck! I handle the website and making sure orders get to where they go. Paul handles the design and painting. Together, we are Paws Truck Gifts! Welcome!
How It Works
How It Works
It can be really heartbreaking to lose your beloved pet. That's why we're here. Nothing can bring your pet back but we can help by creating a beautiful memory of your pet.  Here's how it works:
  • The first thing we do is ask for three good photos of your pet. You can send some recent photos of your pet or choose something from your old album. We ask for so many photos so that my husband Paul can pick the best one. We want you to submit good quality photos; otherwise, the portrait won’t come out well. Sometimes it is hard to find three photos. In such case, you can submit one photo and we will try our best to make a good portrait using that photograph.
  • After you have selected the photos of your pet, you need to fill out a submission form for us. You will need to write some details in this submission form about what kind of portrait you want. You need to tell us the style of portrait you prefer. We donate part of our profit to charity. Then you should upload your photos. You also need to pay your deposit at this time.
  • After we receive your photos, submission form, and the deposit, we will start our work. After we are done with your portrait, we will send you an email confirming that your order is ready to be delivered. We will include a link to your personal gallery where you can view your portrait. You will need to decide the size of the portrait and how you want to print it.
  • After you purchase the portrait from us, will donate 25% of the profit towards a humane cause. You can find out more about the organizations we work with on our homepage.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us!
